Call for Speaker Presentations: Conference 2020

The CPA’s 38th Annual Conference & Trade Show.

June 17 –19, 2020, The Whistler Conference Centre, Whistler, B.C.

The Canadian Payroll Association’s 38th Annual Conference & Trade Show offers payroll professionals from all levels of business (senior, intermediate and those new to payroll) a comprehensive and diverse selection of presentations, keynotes, vendor exhibits and exciting networking opportunities.

Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to share your knowledge and insight with a highly motivated, professional audience. This year our conference theme is “The Nature of Payroll”.

With more than 50 education sessions and three keynote speakers, the Canadian Payroll Association’s Annual Conference and Trade Show is Canada’s premier payroll event of the year. Recent conferences have drawn record attendance with over 900 delegates, exhibitors and speakers from payroll and related communities.

The CPA is looking for informative and innovative presentations on a variety of payroll and related topics, including but not limited to:

Legislative Compliance

Managing Payroll

Compliance HR and Payroll

Technology

Government

Benefits and Compensation

Senior Management/Leadership

Global Payroll Issues and Trends (GIG Economy)

Personal and Professional Development

Payroll Best Practices

Leadership Strategies

American Payroll

We also welcome other subject areas that might be of relevance to Payroll, Finance and Human Resource professionals.

Presentation Length: Conference workshops/sessions are 60 minutes in length except for double sessions, which are 120 minutes in length.

Presentation Size: Group size may range from 30 to 150 participants per session.

Proposal Deadline: On or before Friday, October 4, 2019, via email. You may submit more than one proposal.

Conference workshops are scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2020 and Friday, June 19, 2020. Please do not submit a proposal unless you will be available for both of these days. If your submission is accepted, you may be asked to present it more than once during these days.

The CPA will cover reasonable travel expenses and one night’s hotel accommodation, if required, due to travel distance.

Note: Unless specifically requested, proposals/videos and/or books will not be returned. If you would like anything in your proposal returned please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with your proposal submission.

The Canadian Payroll Association is a not-for-profit organization providing payroll leadership through advocacy and education to payroll professionals across Canada.

All proposals are due by Friday, October 4, 2019 and will be reviewed by Canadian Payroll Association management & staff and the 2020 Conference Program Committee.
